What have you learned as a result of studying the Diamond Approach?:

That reality is far more mysterious than I had taken it to be, with infinite possibilities. That I am not and have never been the creator of my life's experiences. With this understanding my "doer" self can rest and I can abide in the mysterious and benevolent flow of reality.

What would you like your potential students to know about you as a teacher of the Diamond Approach?:

My office is located in Portland, in the Kings Height neighborhood a few blocks behind Zupans Grocery Store. I hold my work with students as a dialectic process of mutual discovery, where in a safe environment, together we can explore the complex and sometimes troubling content of one's life. One's true nature is readily revealed through the heartfelt understanding of one's everyday experiences. Utilizing the process of inquiry, I work with students at their own pace, gently supporting an exploration into the content that over time reveals it to be nothing more than myths and patterns of beliefs that have been taken to be real. With continued exploration understanding arises, beliefs dissolve, revealing the underlying true nature of who one really is. Life can begin to be lived in the flow and inherent goodness of reality.

What attracted you to the Diamond Approach?:

I was drawn to this path nearly 20 years ago. previously I had dabbled in a few other paths that I found did not address the totality of my soul. I found the Diamond Approach to be a thoroughly articulated and living path that recognizes there is no division between the psychological and spiritual, that they simply are two sides of the same continuum. This approach to realization has supported me being in the world, but not of the world.

What is most important for people to understand about the Diamond Approach?:

This path is not for all. Yet if one's allegiance is to discovering truth over the pursuit of pleasure, this path could very well be your inner pathway home.
