"To optimize its unfoldment to the world, the Diamond Approach needs a home in the world. This home exists most directly in our own hearts. It also exists in our practices, our activities, and our broader engagement with those around us.” – Hameed Ali (A. H. Almaas)
Friends of Ridhwan
In 2015, Friends of Ridhwan (formerly Friends of Diamond Heart) was incorporated as a not-for-profit organization in California and recognized by the United States IRS as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, charitable organization. The tax identification number for Friends of Ridhwan is 47-3365579.
Friends of Ridhwan is a nonprofit initiated and led by students, designated by the Obsidian Synod to raise funds to support the School and the Ridhwan Foundation. It has been created to act cooperatively and to co-evolve with the School and its various manifestations. Both the Ridhwan Foundation and Friends of Ridhwan serve under the guidance of the Obsidian Synod.
Establishing a separate legal entity for fund raising activities frees the Ridhwan Foundation to serve fully in its role to support teachers and students in the School, train and ordain teachers, and present programs to the public. It creates a desired separation between the teaching and the activities of seeking and receiving charitable gifts.

The Mission
The mission of Friends of Ridhwan is to provide resources to support the ongoing manifestation and unfoldment of the Diamond Approach teaching in the world. Friends of Ridhwan does this by offering students in the Ridhwan School and other friends of the Diamond Approach opportunities to support this unfoldment.
Global Initiative
The creation and incorporation of Friends of Ridhwan in the United States is the beginning. In 2015 and beyond, our board members and others are working deliberately to ensure that we are able to respond to the growth of the Ridhwan School and interest in the Diamond Approach teaching wherever it arises.
In addition to addressing regional needs and programs, we are striving to create the legal structures, charitable approaches and communication tools that will best help those who wish to support the Diamond Approach around the world.
