Parenting gives us our own opportunity to deepen, ripen and mature.

As our children grow into unique human beings, we experience our own rewards and disappointments. Inevitably, we come face to face with unconscious beliefs about our kids and ourselves, and we gain our own opportunity to grow and transform.

Using psychological understanding and time-honored spiritual practices, we will explore how particular essential qualities within us like compassion, courage, joy and openness can be revealed in our parenting, and how those inner qualities in turn can serve our parenting.

Session 1. Continuously Open. Seeing and experiencing everything freshly - your kids, your family, and yourself.

Session 2. Bold Aliveness.  Welcoming your kids’ shifting developments and your own inner changes.

Session 3. The Charge of Anger. The challenge of staying with negative feelings when you parent.

Session 4. Loving Kindness.  What’s needed to be with the hurts and pains of parenting.

Session 5. Tenderness.  How gentleness helps kids and adults grow.

Session 6. Joyful Curiosity.  A playful spirit lightens the work.
