A talk by John Davis in support of Cascadia 5, a newly forming Diamond Approach Group
Out of an intense curiosity about human potential as well as hoping to ease my inner pain, I participated in an intensive three-month program in the summer of 1975 led by A. H. Almaas and Karen Johnson. It was described to me as a kind of emotional housecleaning. While my emotional house remained pretty littered, I found myself drawn to the possibilities of their teaching. Those possibilities far exceeded what I could have imagined 50 years ago.
Since then, I have become a Diamond Approach teacher, taught large groups in the Cascadia region and elsewhere, written a book introducing this path, guided the formation of several new groups, and discovered the Diamond Approach as a central foundation of my life.
I hope that sharing some of my journey will provide a sense of the Diamond Approach. Anne Hoff and Jamie Baldwin, the lead teachers of Cascadia 5, will be on hand to answer questions about this newly-forming group.
