Berkeley, California
I'm excited to invite you to a new offering: an introductory six-session series on the Diamond Approach.
This is an opportunity to explore some of the fundamental principles and teachings of this path with a small, intimate group,
meeting on six Monday evenings to explore the three centers through introductory talks and the practices of meditation and inquiry.
This series is an invitation to move beyond merely thinking about consciousness and start discovering it—
with awareness, passion and embedded in your own physical form.
Join us for a six-week journey of inquiry, focusing on the fundamental practice of Embodied Presence.
THE PRACTICE: Navigating Your Three Centers
We will explore our inner world and the embodiment of presence through the wisdom of the three essential centers: Belly, Heart, and Head.
* BELLY CENTER: The belly center is the gateway to the body: the physical manifestation of our deepest nature in its substantial form. We will explore the functioning of the belly center and what blocks it, rigidity and armoring.
* HEART CENTER: The heart center is the center that perceives and knows by feeling. We will explore the heart center through the orientation of the love affair that is possible between our heart and our essential nature, and understand more deeply what it means to be open-hearted and what blocks it, we can get trapped in reactivity.
* HEAD CENTER: The head center is the center of luminous awareness, discrimination and conceptual understanding that makes possible the recognition of our deeper nature. We will explore the qualities of open mindedness, discriminating understanding and barriers being caught in identification.

TEACHER:
I grew up in Trondheim, Norway, a medium-size coastal town. We lived close to the natural world, picking berries and mushrooms, hiking and fishing in the summer under a midnight sun. In the winter, my souls’ draw was a good book or knitting in front of a warm fire, finding ways to enjoy the depth of silence that the long, dark days and nights offered. Growing up with extreme dark and light had a deep impact. It made me wonder what is real and true, what is God, and what is this feeling of sacredness that happens when it is dark?
I took my first leap toward freedom when I left Norway at age 19, and I have been traveling in the outer and inner world ever since, exploring the mystery of truly being a human on a journey towards liberation. I started dancing at age 5, and this passion later brought me to Africa, London and New York to learn and perform. Still one of my big loves, dance now finds expression in my spiritual practice, where embodiment is core for me.
I spent many years exploring deep inner work, and it has become an integral part of my life. Living fully in the body, deep intimacy with the natural world and exploring heart and mind as I learn to more and more rest in true nature is what I am committed to in my own life and what I want to help others experience.
