A Diamond Approach® In person Weekend Workshop: Disengaging from your inner critic
One of the main barriers to life in general and particularly true spiritual realization is the Super Ego. This sophisticated and tenacious layer of the personality commonly known as the inner critic is often what we first encounter when embarking on a spiritual journey or simply expanding how we experience the journey of life.
Its main role is to keep the status quo, preventing us from moving beyond our ordinary sense of ourselves toward freedom and spontaneity both inwardly and outwardly.
The inner critic is responsible for much of the pain and suffering we experience in ourselves and our relationships, as it judges ourselves and others, squashes our dreams and keeps us in check limiting our experience by keeping certain self images in tact that are just not true about who we are.
To work with this critical judgmental critical part of our selves, is a courageous journey, and absolutely essential as long as we wish to feel the lightness and freedom of our Nature.
In this weekend workshop we will begin and continue the process of identifying, understanding, and disengaging from the Super Ego. Using the teachings and methodology of the Diamond Approach® and our natural resources of true inner strength, confidence, and compassion to begin to disengage from this layer of our personality, allowing space for the unfolding of new ways of knowing ourself, knowing our nature & living our life.
To be free from this powerful structure of the familiar self is one of the most rewarding and freeing and compassionate undertakings we can do for our life and our spiritual journey. The journey begins first with full awareness of the harm and hurt this structure causes, and continues with dedication to questioning and challenging its truth and place in our life.
This weekend is useful as both continuing the difficult yet powerfully rewarding practice of work on our inner critic, and as an introduction to the teachings and orientation of the Diamond Approach®
