In the process of spiritual realization, space is not the final frontier. The dimension of Space, the intrinsic openness and emptiness of True Nature, is the quality that makes it possible for us to explore all the frontiers of discovering our inner nature.
The radical openness of Space also reveals what blocks so much of our exploration. In the course of our normal ego development, this empty Space gets bounded, structured with self-images, beliefs, and concepts about who we are.
We come to identify ourselves with the images and lose contact with the essential spaciousness that is our own nature. Now, instead of feeling like freedom, the emptiness of Space makes it feel like something is missing in us.
This weekend, we will explore both sides of this process, the barriers that veil knowing Space as our nature, and the quality of Space itself
