To truly participate in a spiritual path means to do your best at any given moment, to act according to the most fundamental truth that you know, and to apply your best understanding to the situation you’re in. This is the attitude of impeccability that we want to bring to our Work. To be impeccable means to be realistic. It does not mean holding yourself to some ideal of perfection. You don’t expect from yourself what you cannot currently do; you aim for the best you can do. And this will challenge our familiar sense of ourselves, which operates by habit rather than seeing what is actually needed and doing our best with that. We don’t aim for impeccability in the hope of some future result; we do it as a way of life right now. It is part of the maturation and development of a true human. And when we orient in this way, we discover our actual capacities to live this way and the dignity this orientation brings to our lives. Please join us for our continuing exploration of Will and its place in our Work.
