Friends of Ridhwan 2022 End of Year Fundraiser

We are humbled and deeply grateful for the outpouring of generosity seen in the 2022 End of Year Fundraising Campaign. Not only did we meet our $100,000 match, we exceeded our overall campaign goal by 55%!

2022 End of Year Results

As we look ahead to the potentiality in 2023 and beyond, your donations allow us to continue with planning and purpose to ensure the strength and longevity of the Teaching for years to come.

We look forward to continuing our journey together,

This year’s message from Hameed and Karen is one of immense gratitude for all the generosity that manifested in our beautiful field throughout 2022—generosity to our fellow students, generosity to ourselves and generosity to the school that holds us all. It has come in many forms, including a $100,000 challenge match offered by your fellow students. We hope you will help us reach that goal, especially as your donation will have twice its impact!

There is kindness in that generosity, but also great power to affect the world around us in transformational ways that encourage love and compassion, qualities that are integral to our true nature.

There has never been a better time to give! Some very generous donors offered to double the impact of your gifts by matching the first $100,000 in unrestricted donations. Your generous donations help us continue to expand access to the teaching to a larger community of seekers around the world and to adapt to the perpetually changing landscape of learning and deepening.

By funding research and purchase of new technologies and software, supporting our staff’s time and expertise in implementing them, and creating more transformational programs that speak to our inner flame, your donations are what make it possible for us to reach people as far away as a remote principality off Antarctica.

Whichever way we take advantage of these increased modes of experience, what’s apparent is that the school values how important these teachings are to our evolving global community and continues to do everything in our power to bring the teachings to those who thirst for them.

The Good You Do:

  • 2022 began with the loss of the Colorado Center. While acknowledging the magnitude of this loss, students and teachers in the Colorado community met this challenge with right action grounded in the present, not the past.  We were able to purchase a new center in time to stream Asilomar into its sanctuary in July. With support from around the globe, initial improvements have been made to the building, but more financial support will be needed to truly make this center their new home.

  • While in-person retreats remain the most effective way to absorb and metabolize the teachings, we continue investing considerable resources and funds to bring the teaching to you where you are, ensuring access through Zoom and hybrid retreats that also enable expanded attendance. For example, updated audio and video equipment was recently installed at the Berkeley Center.

  • Online programming grew too. The new Keys to the Enneagram launched in September, becoming the most successful single Diamond Approach Online course in the school’s history. Of 791 students registered, 216 (27%) were brand new to the school. Synthesizing Enneagram knowledge and the Diamond Approach serves as an introduction to the teaching for a new generation.
